Tamarack Inn in Lake George

I have been here more then a few times with excellent service and excellent food. This time EVERYTHING was unusually bad...My Bacon, French Toast, and Eggs over easy were the worst... Bacon tasted and crumbled like it was reheated in a deep fryer...over cooked and crumpled into tiny pieces . The French toast was so flat and was like eating hard cardboard and tasteless, again, I thought this was frozen and reheated.( Probably was not frozen but that's how I'm describing it) My eggs over easy were solid...The restaurant was booked with almost every table taken. We were in a corner booth, next to us was a round table of 6 touching our booth table.... The man's jacket was actually on our table...making it difficult for our waitress... She never even came back to refill the coffee.. I promise to give you another try since other times have been really good!

I love it, great breakfast.

Food was all delicious. They serve a cinnamon maple butter that is really good. Their menu also says they use farm fresh eggs. Bacon was a good thick cut bacon.

The food was ok. Standard breakfast fare, no nice perks like chocolate chips. The problem was the wait. We waited an hour between ordering and eating because the owners daughter showed up and cut in the order queue. It was very busy and everyone's orders was on hold. We literally ordered a waffle, pancake, and French toast. And when it came, it was cold. :-(. Waitstaff was understaffed and overworked. I would not return.

HORRIBLE!! Took a lady friend there for lunch yesterday and the stench of rotting fish permeated the air. Haddock was on "Special"...needless to say we didn't order that! We both ordered the Reuben sandwiches - my friend ordered a pasta salad with hers, but after 15 minutes, the waitress informed us that there was no pasta salad. When the sandwich's arrived, they were soggy. The service was terrible. Another patron ordered the Haddock, and when it came the stench was unbelievable! The customer made a comment about it being bad, so the waitress TASTED IT and claimed in was fine!!! Never again!! I got sick that evening, don't know if it was food poisoning, but at $15/sandwich I will NOT be going back! Theh men's room was disgusting and dirty - the garbage receptacle was overflowing!

Delicious breakfast, and very pleasant atmosphere

Prices too high for what you get. Slow service. Food not awesome. The decor/atmosphere is nice and is what drew us in. But I don't think we will be going back

Paige was excellent! My visit at Lake George was about 8 days and stopped twice at " the log cabin", my family called it, and was delicious every time from their daily specials to their classic eggs!

Don't waste your time,while being led to our table, I was shoved aside by a waitress that was in a hurry, my first cup of coffee was luke warm at best, our food took 35 minutes, and wasn't hot. Totally average food. My daughters and I will never go back.

We eat here every year I have known the owner since 1989 to this day they have the best coffee and real sausage ever great food no matter what you order reasonably priced and awesome service. Very clean and well kept restaurant well worth your time so enjoy it

Love the food znd atmosphere!

Understaffed waited 20 mins before we ordered breakfast. Prices were a bit high for two people for breakfast.

Waited 18 min to order our food. Then 3 tables of four came in after us an all got their food before us. We waited 45 min before walking out.

I was staying across the street while passing through the Lake George area on a motorcycle ride and stopped in for breakfast. I was seated quickly, order taken and food came out promptly. Overall a positive experience, and I would recommend for breakfast.

Amazing food and great service. My wife and I brought our kids here on a Sunday morning during our vacation last week and we loved it. The place was packed but we only had to wait two minutes for a table. After ordering, our food was ready in less than fifteen minutes. She and I first visited on our five year anniversary. We were pleased then and nothing has changed.

Terrible service. We waited over a half hour for our breakfast. Waitress never came by to tell us of delay nor did she apologize. Bathroom was disgustingly filthy and out of toilet tissue. Don't waste your time or $ here.

Great place, food is good, service fast. The staff really hustles.

The food at Flapjack Pete's was not bad. The amount they charge you for the food is ridiculous. We got a similar breakfast (Pancakes, two eggs, coffee and toast) at the Silo. The breakfast at the Silo had much bigger serving sizes, and we also go two donuts as well, and the bill was substantially less. If they fixed thier prices and sizes I would recommend this place, but for the time being I do not.

Over priced for the (lack of ) quality.

A little dirty and took longer than I thought it would but worth the wait! I thought the price was fair for breakfast, server was nice, pancakes were really fluffy and delicious, homemade butter was delicious too!

Good breakfast

Not much has changed in the last 7/8 years with the Tamarack. Service is still slow, no air conditioning, table tops feel dirty and greasy ,food is adequate and owner? manager? has the same dress on . I go back hoping things have changed and because it's close to where we stay. Maybe next year.

Awesome restaurant with very unique interior, good food and excellent service.

Overall it wasn't horrible. Home fries are nothing special. The best part is the maple cinnamon butter that you get with your food. Waited quite a long time for our food and it wasn't the best breakfast I've had.. Not planning to return.
